No, really - thanks, Dreamhost. Thanks for charging me $763.20 for no reason. Yes, there was a refund a mere ten hours later, but the awkward downtimes, general reliability problems, shutting-my-database-down-without-warning incidents weren't much fun either.
So, goodbye to Dreamhost, and a big hellooo Bytemark! And hello to any possible website downtime over the next few days. I'm moving hosts again - which is always bound to go well...
Edit 2008-01-16: MINERVA? 'intriguingly weird', according to CVG's article on The Best PC Mods. Ever!
New hosting ordered - it'll probably take more than a few days to get everything up and running before the Second Great Switchover, but I'll let you know when the Second Great Final Database Dump has been made.
And to think that this morning, I was finally catching up with my email. Friday? Off for a Belated Brighton Birthday Binge!
(I have yet to consult my calendar for February...)
Whatever a Belated Brighton Birthday Binge is, it could be yours! In a silly attempt to avoid being rude and unpolite: Congratulations.
I think Mr. Foster's birthday has been confirmed as Oct. 25th

Congrats on the honor from CVG!
Yeah, I'd be moughty pissed, myself.
But I second the congrats on the honor from CVG/
Exciting website. Thank you.
Congratualtions on MINERVA being chosen by CVG as one of the best PC mods ever! I'm also looking forward to the results of the Mod DB MOTY voting!
It seems that the new host requires annoying, repetitive 'w' pressing. Where as "http://hylobatidae.org/minerva" used to be just Jim dandy, "http://www.hylobatidae.org/minerva" is the new password. To people, like myself, that have a favorite (or a bookmark, if that suits you better) sans the triple double-u the whole site appears down. It was a most distressing week until I discovered the vexing solution.

Imagine if the guy charged the users for the full 21st century. That'd cause an economic crash.
Comments going to be "lost" too this time?
